900 visitors at one-day Ijahis idja festival

Ijahis idja festival was celebrated last Saturday the 14th of August in Inari. Around 900 people visited the festival, that was held exceptionally on one-day basis because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Festival’s program consisted of concerts, pop-up workshops, Sámi handcraft market and lasso throwing competition.

Festival organizers are happy with visitor numbers considering that it was only one-day event and separate children’s day was not organized this year.

Ijahis idja -festival is organized next year 19.-20.8.2022.
