The giants of the Sámi rap, Amoc and Ailu Valle, join forces in Ijahis idja!
Amoc from Aanar and Ailu from Ohcejohka are the pioneers, trendsetters, and legends of the Sámi rap scene. Both of their careers began already in the early noughties, and they can be called the godfathers of Sámi rap.
Amoc’s album, Amok-kaččâm (2007), is the world’s first Sámi-language rap album. Ailu Valle has released three albums, Dušši dušše duššat (2012), 7 (2015) and Viidon sieiddit (2019). The duo has also made several songs together and guested on each other’s tracks. In Ijahis idja, Ailu and Amoc perform with Trio Boogiemen. The band’s heavy rock influenced live instrumentation brings raw power but also groovy moments.
